It’s that time of year again, when every middle aged male romance writer’s thoughts turn to setting writing goals for the upcoming year. These are mine:
Main Goals
- Complete my first novel, Love And Distraction, and enter it into Queensland Writer’s Centre Publishable competition.
- Complete my second novel, The Same As You, by the end of the year, to the standard where I could enter it into a competition if I chose to in the following year.
Mini Goals
- Do one pitch or query letter to a publisher or agent
- Write 10 poems and post them (on blog and/or Instagram)
- Write one short story of thousand words or more
- Read a Romantasy book
- And generally keep inspired and keep writing
